call this the cadence weapon blog

i'm sorry, but i can't help but blog about him incessantly now, especially after tonight: he came up to me after his opening set at the jurassic 5 show to ask me if he'd done well. he'd read my fulcrum review and thought i was a little bit too mean to him. oh my freaking science!!! i honestly felt like my eyes were about to pop out of my head and that my pants had turned warm from creaming them.

no rollie, you are awesome and you goddamn know it, i just had to criticize it at least a little bit, so it wouldn't come off as a freaking fluff piece.

click on the pic for a video (shitty sound quality, tho). SO YEAH we talked after the show and i felt so crazy awkward nervous like a high school teenager about to ask someone out to the prom. but he is super nice, softspoken, not to mention his new songs kick ass. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

as for JURASSIC 5, they were pretty freaking fan-bloody-tastic omg. they all made eye-contact-love with the fans consistently throughout the show and their energy just never, ever gave up. i must've had chali 2na and akil smile, nod their heads, and point at me at least like five times. they were so comfortable up there, and so connecty with the audience it was sick. i could not believe how amazing the show was.

i got to meet akil after and i got his and zaakir's autographs. akil is so tiny! what a cute guy... during the show i realized he's the only rapper i've seen perform who knows how to use his hips.

okay no offense but hip-hop shows are starting to make rock shows feel like crap. note to indie rock: get better or i'm dumping your ass. you are starting to disappoint me. these musicians of the hip-hop variety completely distracted me from the horrible tummy pains i was feeling, could your whiny guitar and even whinier voices have made me forget about it and have a good time? i highly doubt it.

in other news, um no that's really about it right now. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
