airports i've never frantically run around in. accents i've never made fun. highways i've never sped through. hotelbeds i've never made love in.
the culture is out there, just waiting to shock me. and when you live in the fourth largest city in canada and yearn for more, you know it's only big cities that can satisfy. i mean, c'mon... toronto? montreal? vancouver? been there, done that. blah blah blah. novelty is a necessity in today's modern world. and so, our neighbours to the south get to play a role today.
but wait.
los angeles. lus angilees as the persians call it. maybe it's the lingering love from my recent trip to BC, but i want to go.
my sexual relations with the west coast have nothing to do with it, i swear. nor my desire to soak my toes in the pacific ocean. it's not really because of that hot california sun. though those are all very good reasons, of course.
i've never seen a palm tree up close and personal before. it's that simple.
the palm tree - bearer of the coconut fruit, symbol of paradise. why have i never paid attention to you before? it could be due to the fact that you're in every travel agency brochure, but c'mon, that shouldn't be a turn-off... i just need to pay more attention to these things. and buy myself a bikini.
