i bought headphones to appear preoccupied to this leb guy who had tried to pick me up as we were boarding. ok no i am not that lame, i bought them to watch tv and preoccopy myself from five hours of being in the air. a note to the leb guy though... next time you might want to talk less about how airports racially profile you. i dunno. just a tip i guess.
i arrived in vic at 9:10 and met my sista diana. we drove home in her new mini as a gazillion and one billboards flashed by (first nations peeps own the land). there is a shitload of nature here. and it is sooooooooo much prettier than ontarian nature. and they have cherry blossom trees. i want a cherry blossom tree.
i'm starting to get better, so starting this afternoon i'm going to start taking my touristing more seriously. because being on vacation is serious business.
there are a lot of really cool little nifty stores to be discovered in the downtown core, like she she bags and dilemma and that second-hand and vintage clothing store whose name escapes me right now. i believe it's on yates. i believe i need to move out to BC just for the lack of tim horton's and the abundance of starbucks. and the cherry blossom trees.
anyways, it's time for a mirage latte, and i need to get the house key copied. bye losers.
p.s. i will be updating more. and in the meantime, check out da flickr photos.
