we are way too harsh on quebec. i mean, besides their umm.. marvelous little accents, they are actually quite cool. montreal is a beautiful city. with the cutest little auberges that offer hot steamy jacuzzi rooms & crème brûlée breakfasts & naked french maids... yum.

i think the problem with bilingualism in canada is that we don't enforce it enough. if we want to really tout our 2-language wonders, we should make learning french mandatory in school. not that shitty core french crap they pull on us - "umm, voulez-vous coucher avec moi? teehee!" everyone should learn english and french... FLUENTLY. either that, or let's stop this bilingualism crap.
