and once i bought an ice cream cone and it had chocolate chips in it, but you could barely taste them because they were so friggin frozen anyway, and i said to myself, look man, you just spent three bucks on this cone, don't you dare throw it out, the toffee totally overpowers the chips anyway.
so i ate it.
and then there have been times when people have bought me shots of alcohol and you only toss those back once, there's no going back and that's when i realize why they were so sweet.
chocolate liqueur.
but other than those 2-3 accidents...?
nada.
it wasn't that hard. just annoying. people get REALLY offended if you turn down their chocolate. it's like a slap in the face. "you don't like chocolate? what's wrong with you?" and i hated explaining to people the real reason because everyone would freak out. they wanted to place me in a mental asylum.
come new years, the first piece of chocolate i had was a hershey's kiss. right in front of lexi and jeff. it almost seemed historical.
and i guess, in a sense, it was, because....
NEVER AGAIN.
thank bob for cheap, discounted seasonal chocolate. already the aisles of your local walmart are full of valentine's day sweets, seducing you with their luscious red packaging and divine sweetness.
this year i will not go deprived.
and this? totally justified. totally.
